I'm alive and enjoying the MTC so much! It's only been a day and a half, but I feel like I've learned so much!! We've been busy since the second we got here:) My companion is Sister Muhlestein. She is absolutely amazing and I love her! We're already best friends:) She's from Spanish Fork and she plays volleyball. We get along so well, and she's saved me this last day and a half. My district is fabulous! There are four sisters, and seven elders. All the Elders are going to Charlotte North Carolina, and the Sisters are going to NYNYN!!
Missionary work is all about LOVE. That's been our biggest focus. It's amazing how much love I have felt for the investigators we've met. God loves each one of us, and I've learned that that really is the purpose of our mission. To let people feel and know of the love their Heavenly Father has for them. We are all a family and we all need a sense of belonging and love. We all need our Heavenly Father and this gospel. One of the biggest things that have helped me so far with people and investigators is thinking, "How would Christ help this person?" It's not about us at all, it's about everyone else.
The MTC has been such an amazing experience! As soon as I think I'm getting the hang of things and feeling comfortable, Heavenly Father makes sure He pushes me just a little bit farther:) I thought I'd know my way around the Cafeteria and feel cool, but we're eating in the gym because all the Mission Presidents and Apostles are here in our big building haha! I felt really good about Day 2 and MTC life, and Me and Sister Muhlestein have just been called to serve as our Sister Training Leaders. It's so humbling to be here, and I know that it's nothing about me, it's all about who Heavenly Father and my Savior want me and need me to become. I love this gospel and I love my Heavenly Father. I'm grateful for this chance to be a representative of Jesus Christ. Every time I look down at my shoulder and see my black missionary tag, I'm filled with humility, gratitude, and love! It's going to be tough, but so worth it!
I love you guys! Thanks for the support:)
Love, Sister Johnson
